Aarklash: Legacy revealed in images
Today sees the release of the first screenshots of Aarklash: Legacy, developed by Cyanide

This year, Cyanide returns with two new games inspired by Confrontation, a license set in a medieval-fantasy universe, created by Rackham. Dogs of War Online, a free-to-play arena-based strategy game, and Aarklash: Legacy, a tactical adventure game, will thus be released during the second quarter of 2013.

Aarklash: Legacy will put you in command of a group of mercenaries who encounter much adversity on their mission, despite their best efforts! Intense fighting awaits the player, who will be able to devise the most effective strategies thanks to a pause system. Combat is at the heart of the game, but there are also phases of thought and exploration, all centred on a storyline full of twists and turns.

With great pleasure, Cyanide today reveals the first screenshots of Aarklash: Legacy. Here is an overview of Acheron and Behemoth, two different regions of the world of Aarklash which is crossed as the adventure unfolds. The heroes of the story are also shown, along with some of the creatures they face in these hostile lands!

Aarklash: Legacy promises an exciting and epic quest with numerous battles. Nella, Denzil, Vendaroo and their partners will rendezvous with you in the coming months!

About Cyanide

Cyanide is an independent and privately held video game studio. Based in Paris, it was created in 2000 and has risen to become one of the most productive game development studios in France. In 2007 the company opened a facility in Montreal, Canada and the headcount across both sites is currently 100.

The studio is best-known for its «Pro Cycling Manager» series of games (console and PC versions being released each year). However, it has more than one string to its bow, as games such as «Loki» (Action/RPG, 2007), «Blood Bowl» (sport/fantasy/RTS, 2009/2010/2012) and «Dungeon Party» (F2P MMOG, 2009) have proved. These titles offer a rich pool of characters drawn from a wide variety of game universes.

In 2009, Cyanide secured the video game adaptation rights to George R. R. Martin’s “A Song of Ice and Fire” series. As a result, a tactical, strategy game was released for the PC in the 3rd quarter of 2011 and an RPG on PC and next-gen consoles in the first half of 2012. 2012 was also the year of «Confrontation», a tactical RPG, based on an IP acquired by Cyanide in 2010, and “Of Orcs and Men”, another RPG, and jointly developed with Spiders.
