Munich, Germany, August 7th, 2012 The leading games publisher ProSiebenSat.1 Games can boast not just one, but several trumps at this year’s gamescom, Europe’s biggest video and computer games fair. In particular, the cooperation with Sony Online Entertainment (SOE), entered into at the beginning of the year, presents professional visitors with a fantastic portfolio of high-quality games. The focus lies on the upcoming action hit PlanetSide 2, the super hero epic DC Universe Online, the online RPG EverQuest 2, and the premieres of two brand-new massively multiplayer online games (MMOs).

Plenty of highlights and innovations

The massively multiplayer online first-person shooter (MMOFPS) PlanetSide 2 is currently in its beta phase. Visitors of the fair get to play part of the action title at the gamescom and learn more about the upcoming free-to-play highlight. Moreover, there will be an abundance of details regarding forthcoming updates and future plans for the games DC Universe Online and EverQuest 2, including a demonstration of the as-yet unpublished SOEmote feature. This face-tracking technology is designed to transfer players’ facial expressions straight to their in-game avatars, thus adding a whole new layer of complexity to the role-playing game.

Two premieres and a birthday

In time for the gamescom, ProSiebenSat.1 Games and SOE are ready to present two new titles. More information will be revealed shortly.
The online third-person shooter S4 League will also be represented at the ProSiebenSat.1 Games booth. The action title is celebrating its fourth birthday, and is appropriately about to launch its fourth season. Further details will be revealed at the gamescom.

The gamescom 2012 will take place from August 15 through August 19 in Cologne, Germany. ProSiebenSat.1 Games can be found in the Business Center in hall 4.1, booth B-010. The creators from SOE and ProSiebenSat.1 Games will be available on-site for interviews about all games that are being presented at the trade fair. Appointments may also be made as of now.
